meet rachael

Rachael Freitas didn’t mean to fall in love with plant design. She meant to find an interesting side job, while she pursued another career in Los Angeles. The plants, however, had other plans.

After quickly rising from sales to head designer at one of Southern California's premier nurseries, Rachael realized her passion was shifting, and wanted to focus full time on creating high level design in exterior landscape and interior plantscape. 

​

Rachael has spent the last few years creating and implementing designs that draw people out of their homes and into nature. She's designed interiors and exteriors for well-known commercial and high-end residential spaces throughout Southern California and Nashville, Tennessee.

 

Through UPCOUNTRY, her goal is simple: to help you use plants to make your home more inviting, inside and out. With her unique blend of high-end design and real-world practicality, Rachael brings a fun and fresh approach to outdoor landscape and interior plantscape design.
